We gave visibility and voice to a thoughtful revamp of The Public Market in Emeryville, CA. The food-centric destination includes 20+ Market Hall food kiosks, office, lab and anchor retailers like Urban Outfitters. City Center Realty Partners and Marketing Method asked Rubber to rebrand their vision of the new Public Market. We started by rebranding the Market and creating a teaser campaign to promote the coming renovation of the food hall. Then, we developed a master signage program with key wayfinding for the broader planned retail, homes and office expansion. We continue to work with the team ongoing for marketing and promotion, as well as improvements to the environment and experience.

Reintroducing Market Hall

The campaign to announce the first phase of the remodel (reopening Market Hall food stalls) included a series of ads, collateral and onsite displays within the environment. Construction signage in all phases has adopted and enhanced the campaign to highlight regular additions to the roster of eateries and pop ups at the Market.

Public Market Emeryville has an ongoing PR and marketing program to activate the space and support the food hall tenants, most of which are small independent brands. Through collateral and digital advertising, we promote a variety of events and reinforce the destination as a fun and easy meetup spot for folks from all across the Bay Area.
